Canon K35 - TLS

Canon K35 lenses are renowned for their unique character and outstanding performance. They feature low contrast, gentle focus fall-off, and stunning pastel skin tones. Our collection includes some of the earliest K-35s, which produce warm images with flares that combine gold, amber, and magenta. These lenses cover Full Frame, are high-speed, and offer excellent close-focus capabilities. Their 15-blade iris ensures soft, circular bokeh. Thanks to their aspherical designs, they perform exceptionally well when shot wide-open, a key reason why Canon K-35s received an Academy Award for innovation in 1977. Notably, these lenses have been used in productions like "HER," "AMERICAN HUSTLE," and "THE HANDMAID'S TALE."

Rehoused by True Lens Services (TLS) in London, our K35 lenses benefit from TLS's reputation for superb build quality and reliability. A notable addition to the 5-lens set is our 1960s 45mm f1.4 (T1.6), which complements the K35s and fills the gap between the 35mm and 55mm lenses. This lens shares the same color, contrast, bokeh, and flare characteristics. For those needing additional focal lengths, we offer a complete TLS rehoused 11-lens set of Canon FD primes from the 1970s, which pair excellently with the K35s.

Moreover, we provide the unique Canon FD-X 18mm T1.5, a lens that matches the K35s in style and covers full-frame sensors, unlike the 18mm K35. This makes the 18mm T1.5 FD-X the perfect option for achieving the K35 look with an 18mm field of view on a large format sensor.

TLS has improved the lenses to focus closer than their original designs allowed. All lenses feature a 330-degree focus throw, uniform 110mm fronts, and consistent positions for the focus and iris gears.
